Dear Colleagues,

The year 2019 is coming to an end. And what an overwhelming year it has been for Impact Hub and entrepreneurship in Switzerland.
We would like to share with you some highlights since our last update on 1st of August, as well as what’s coming up next in our Swiss-wide community. You’d like a little Sneak Peek? Here you go:

Looking back

In November, Impact Hub Basel has officially opened its doors at a wonderful launch event with more than 400 people in their inspiring 1’500sqm location. We will soon be hosting over 2’000 entrepreneurial members and partners in six Impact Hubs across the country (there’s rumour of #7) – and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

Looking ahead

We will bring Circular Economy to Davos during next year’s WEF. Register here for an exciting event (24 Jan., 9:30-11:00) with President of the National Council, Isabelle Moret, Holcim Switzerland & Italy CEO, Nick Traber, and more CEOs and Circular Economy entrepreneurs; along with broadcasting by CNN Money Switzerland and the Pre-Launch of the world’s first country-wide “Startup Guide Switzerland”.

You will find more facts, infos and events, as well as media articles further below. Speaking of media: Thanks to all the journalists publishing about Impact Hub Switzerland in more than 400 articles and media stories per year.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out in case you have any questions or ideas around Impact Hub and what we could develop together.

As the decade is ending, we are just getting started with Impact Hub Switzerland. Thanks for being a part of it!

All the best to you and your families. We wish you some relaxing days ahead.

#Impact Hub Bern: 10’000 CHF for the Impact Hub Bern Community

In November, Impact Hub Bern had a powerful Community Gathering, where ideas were drafted, pitched and finally selected. The community had the unique chance to distribute 10’000 CHF offered by Impact Hub Bern. And the community voted for four different projects: Melanie Dellenbach’s Project Yes2Bodies about body diversity gets 5000 CHF for the build up of the national event Body Respect Day 2021. The coding academy for refugees Powercoders wins three memberships for refugees, sponsored by the Hub. Our Hubonaut and longtime member Olivier Stuker represented the community’s wish of an improvement of Impact Hub kitchen infrastructure – and got heard: 5’000 CHF are budgeted for this community idea. And, the fourth share went to Andrea Halmy’s project of a Startup Weekend for Women (9-11th September 2020). Since the team, including Impact Hub team members, already got enough funding, she kindly refused the price money. For more impressions check the Impact Hub Bern social media channels.
